How sourcing works, step by step

  1. Your request (RFQ). You describe the need in 3 quick steps: product, use, quantities, destination. No commitment.
  2. Specification clarification. We come back within 2 business days with the questions that matter: exact mesh aperture or shade rate, roll formats, treatment, packing. This step is where costly mistakes are caught.
  3. Partner quote. We coordinate with our manufacturing partners and translate their offer into a clear written quote.
  4. Written assumptions. Delivery terms (Incoterm), who acts as importer of record, duty assumptions as of the quote date, QC scope: everything in writing before you decide.
  5. Sample or order. Sample availability depends on the product and specification; where it makes sense we arrange it before the order. Then production follow-up, agreed quality checks, and shipping coordination.

What we verify before anything ships

  • Mesh aperture or shade rate against your target use
  • Material and UV treatment as specified
  • Weight (gsm) and roll dimensions
  • Colour, edge finishing and packing
  • MOQ, lead time and shipping window
  • Documentation matching the agreed Incoterm

Scope of inspection is agreed per order and stated on the quote.

MeshAndNet.com / Qualitora LLC acts as a commercial sourcing contact and specification partner, not as the disclosed manufacturer. Production is handled by selected manufacturing partners.

Wire mesh and metal fencing projects are reviewed individually. Garden-scale needs: see garden netting. Overview of everything: what we source.

Typical quote scenarios

Example scenarios, for illustration: every project is specified individually.

ScenarioRequestWhat we clarify
Insect netting, market grower5,000 m2 insect netting, 50 mesh, white, UV treated, delivered to California.Exact mesh aperture in mm vs target pest, roll width for the structure, packing, Incoterm, MOQ, lead time.
Insect netting, berry growerExclusion netting for a blueberry block under spotted wing drosophila pressure, for the coming season.Aperture in mm against that pest rather than a mesh count, the width to cover against roll width and joints, when the net goes on relative to pollination, MOQ, lead time.
Shade cloth, nursery2,000 m2 shade cloth, 60 percent, 4 m x 50 m rolls, for a Texas nursery.Shade rate vs crop and season, gsm, edge finishing and eyelets, colour, delivery terms.
Mesh bags, onion packer50,000 PP leno bags, 1000 x 600 mm, for an Arizona packer.Bag construction and weight, plain vs printed (printed or laminated bags have separate trade considerations we flag upfront), palletization, lead time.

When the span is wider than the roll

Netting is made to the width of the machine that knits it, not to the width of your block. When the span is wider, the joint has to be made somewhere. There are only two places it can happen, and a quote should tell you which one you are buying.

Where the joint is madeWhat you receiveWhat it costs you
On site, by your crewStrips at catalogue width, overlapped and fixed in the field.Installation days, fixings, and one more line for the wind to work on at every joint. None of it appears in a price per square metre.
At the factory, before it shipsPanels assembled to the width you need to cover, delivered as one piece.A stated line on the quote, plus its effect on packing, freight volume and the minimum quantity that makes the run worth setting up.

What we will not write down before it is confirmed A maximum assembled width. Achievable width, added cost, added lead time and the minimum quantity are confirmed with the manufacturing partner and stated on your quote before you order. Where a span cannot be served in one piece, we say so and quote the strip layout instead.

What to send us The width you need to cover, not the roll width you think you should ask for. The quote form has a field for the span, and a second one for how you want that width made up.

What a documented quote includes

"Documented" is not a slogan. Every Mesh & Net quote is a written document that states:

  • The confirmed specification: material, mesh or shade rate, weight (gsm), dimensions, colour, treatment, packaging.
  • Quantities and formats: roll widths and lengths actually available, MOQ applied to your case.
  • Delivery terms: the agreed Incoterm, who acts as importer of record, and the duty assumptions used, dated.
  • Timeline: production lead time and shipping window.
  • Quality control scope: what is inspected before shipment, as agreed with you.
  • Validity: quotes are time-limited, with tariff assumptions stated as of the quote date.

If a project does not make sense on specs, quantities or delivered cost, we say so instead of quoting it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQs vary by product; shade netting, for example, typically starts from around 1,000 square metres. Send your requirement and we will confirm the applicable MOQ in the quote.

Can dimensions and colours be customised?

Yes. Width, length, colour and treatment can be customised. Send your specification and destination country and we will coordinate feasibility with our partners.

Can I get samples?

Sample availability depends on the product and specification; ask in the quote form and we will confirm options and lead time.

Can I order below the MOQ?

If your volume is below the minimum order quantity, we say so directly and, where possible, suggest the closest viable format instead of quoting something that will not work.

How does payment work?

Payment terms are stated on each quote; they depend on the product, quantities and delivery terms. No payment is ever requested before you have a written quote you have accepted.

Who acts as the importer?

It is defined per project and stated in writing on the quote before you order: either you import under your own arrangements, or an agreed setup is put in place. If you are not sure, say so in the request form and we will recommend the right structure.
