Garden netting: protect beds, fruit and greenhouses
In short. Most garden protection problems are solved by three netting types: fine insect netting over vegetable beds, shade cloth against heat, and bird netting over fruit. The same materials we source for commercial growers work in gardens; quantities are the main difference, and we tell you honestly when a garden-size order is below viable minimums.
Match the problem to the netting
| Your problem | What solves it | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Flying pests on vegetable beds | Fine woven HDPE insect netting, without chemicals. The mesh aperture decides which insects are excluded. | Insect netting → |
| Heat and sun stress | Shade cloth. Around 30 to 50 percent suits most vegetables; higher ratings suit shade-loving plants, seedlings and hot climates. | Shade netting → |
| Birds on fruit, berries and vines | Bird netting, sourced on request: specifications are confirmed at quote stage. For deer and larger wildlife, a physical barrier is usually a fencing project. | Fencing review → |

Frequently asked questions
Do you sell small garden quantities?
Sometimes. Minimums depend on the product; if your quantity is below the viable minimum we say so directly and suggest the closest sensible option instead of quoting something that will not work.
Which netting stops both insects and birds?
None does both well: insect netting apertures are far finer than bird netting. Pick by your primary problem, or protect different crops with different nets.
